Travel Texas – San Marcos – Sacred Springs Powwow


This Saturday, October 5th, San Marcos will honor Native American tribes with their annual Sacred Springs Powwow

Events include Blessing at the shores of the Sacred Springs, Gourd Dancers, several White Shaman Panel lectures, Honor Dance for Tomblin Family, Aztec drum and dancers, and Honor Dance for Powwow Committee. Several contests will take place – Men’s Grass & Fancy dancers, Women’s Jingle & Fancy Shawl, Youth & Tiny Tots, Men’s Traditional, Straight & Chicken, and Women’s Cloth & Buckskin.

This is a great event for history buffs and Native American descendants.
