January 19-21, 2019
Parades start at San Jacinto Street and Elgin Street
The MLK Holiday weekend starts Saturday (January 19th) with the 13th annual MLK Youth Parade at 12pm. The parade features over 20 marching bands and hundreds of performers.
Sunday (January 20) – 18th annual Battle of the Bands takes place at W.W. Thorne Stadium from 4pm-7pm. High School bands from around the country compete.
The holiday weekend wraps up on Monday (January 21) with the 25th annual Grande Parade (featuring this year’s theme of “It Takes a Village”) starts at 10am.
Buy your tickets online because they sell out. Prices range from $10 up to $25 online.
